이용약관 (한국어)

1. 서비스: 킥스타트코리안은 Zoom을 통한 1:1 한국어 수업(50분), 무료 체험 수업, 자기학습 도구(단어 SRS, 문법 연습, AI 대화, 발음 평가)를 제공합니다.

2. 예약 및 결제: 수업은 레슨 패키지로 결제하며, PayPal 또는 계좌이체로 구매합니다. 1레슨 = 1수업(50분). 레슨 예약은 현재 시각 이후부터 30일 이내의 가용 슬롯에 대해 실시간으로 하실 수 있으며, 하루 최대 2회까지 예약 가능합니다. 구매한 레슨 크레딧의 유효기간은 무기한이며 만료되지 않습니다.

3. 취소 및 변경: 수업 12시간 전까지 취소/변경 시 전액 환불 또는 재예약 가능. 12시간 이내 취소는 환불 불가. 강사 취소 시 전액 환불.

4. 무료 체험: 1인 1회 무료 체험 수업. 결제 불필요. 추가 수업 구매 의무 없음.

5. 학생 행동: 정시 출석, 예절 준수. 부적절한 행동 시 환불 없이 수업 종료 가능. 수업 녹화/배포 금지.

6. 지적재산권: 모든 수업 자료는 킥스타트코리안의 지적재산이며, 개인 학습 목적으로만 사용 가능.

7. 면책: 학습 속도나 수준에 대한 보장은 하지 않습니다. 결과는 개인의 노력에 따라 다릅니다.

8. 준거법: 대한민국 법률 적용. 분쟁 관할: 서울서부지방법원. 분쟁 해결: 한국소비자원 또는 전자거래분쟁조정위원회.

9. AI 기능: AI 기반 학습 도구(대화 연습, 문법 평가, 발음 평가)는 보조 학습 수단이며, 전문 수업을 대체하지 않습니다. AI 생성 콘텐츠의 정확성, 완전성, 신뢰성을 보장하지 않으며, 중요한 정보는 강사에게 확인하시기 바랍니다.

By booking a lesson or using this website, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services

KickstartKorean provides:

  • 1-on-1 Korean lessons: 50-minute private lessons conducted over Zoom with Gyuhun S.
  • Free trial lesson: one free 50-minute lesson per person, available to new students
  • Self-study tools: Vocabulary SRS (spaced repetition), Grammar Practice quizzes, Pronunciation Assessment, and AI Conversation Practice
  • Video course: a structured self-study course launching June 2026 (subject to change)

2. Booking & Payment

  • Lessons are booked through the KickstartKorean platform at kickstartkorean.com/booking.
  • Lessons are paid for in advance via PayPal or Korean bank transfer. One lesson = one 50-minute session.
  • Booking window: lessons can be scheduled in real time for any available slot from the current time up to 30 days in the future, with a maximum of 2 lessons per day per student.
  • Credit validity: purchased lesson credits have no expiration date (무기한) and can be used at any time after purchase.
  • Your Zoom link is sent by email once your booking is confirmed.
  • Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received and a lesson has been applied to your account.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations or reschedules made 12 hours or more before the lesson are eligible for a full refund or rescheduling at no charge.
  • Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the lesson are not eligible for a refund.
  • If Gyuhun cancels a lesson, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
  • To cancel or reschedule, use the dashboard at kickstartkorean.com/dashboard or contact kickstartkorean@gmail.com.

4. Free Trial Lesson

  • One free trial lesson is available per person. Misuse (multiple applications) may result in cancellation of the booking.
  • The free trial is a full 50-minute lesson. No payment required.
  • The trial does not automatically commit you to further lessons.

5. Student Conduct

  • Students are expected to attend lessons on time and behave respectfully.
  • Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in the lesson being ended without refund.
  • Lessons are for personal learning only and may not be recorded or redistributed without prior written consent.

6. Intellectual Property

All lesson materials, PDF summaries, and course content are the intellectual property of KickstartKorean. They are provided for personal educational use only and may not be copied, shared, or distributed without permission.

7. Disclaimer

KickstartKorean makes no guarantees regarding the speed or level of language progress achieved. Results vary depending on individual effort, consistency, and prior experience. We are committed to providing high-quality instruction, but outcomes are ultimately dependent on the student.

8. AI-Powered Features

KickstartKorean offers AI-powered learning tools including conversation practice, grammar evaluation, and pronunciation assessment. These features are provided as supplementary learning aids and are not a substitute for professional instruction. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses, evaluations, and scores may contain errors. KickstartKorean does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. Users should verify important information with their tutor or other authoritative sources.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, KickstartKorean shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution (준거법 및 분쟁해결)

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Western District Court (서울서부지방법원).

Before initiating legal proceedings, users may seek resolution through the Korea Consumer Agency (한국소비자원, kca.go.kr) or the Electronic Commerce Dispute Resolution Committee (전자거래분쟁조정위원회).
