How KickstartKorean works
A two-minute tour so your first lessons are about Korean, not logistics. Here is how the account, homework, and tools fit together.
Your account and lesson notes
Create a free account (or log in) and your dashboard becomes home base. After every lesson, your tutor posts a lesson note: what you covered, your homework, and what is next. It shows on your dashboard and also arrives by email, so nothing from the lesson gets lost.
Create a free accountBooking and payment
There are two ways students come to me, and each keeps its own booking:
Found me on Preply
Keep booking and paying through Preply. You still get a free website account here for the tools, notes, and homework.
Booked directly
Schedule and pay right here on the website with "Book a Lesson".
Either way, lessons are on Zoom (clearer audio and video than an in-browser classroom). I send you the link.
Homework
I assign homework each lesson, usually textbook and workbook pages. Do it whatever way suits you:
- Write on a printout and take a photo
- Mark up a digital PDF on a tablet
- Use a physical copy of the book and photograph the page
Then open the Homework page and drag in your photo or PDF. It saves and syncs to OneNote, where I leave feedback, and you get a notification once it is graded.
Practice between lessons
All the practice tools live in one place: listening, speaking (say full sentences and get checked), numbers, vocabulary flashcards, grammar, and pronunciation. Most are free with no signup.
See all practice toolsYour dashboard also has a My Progress view showing what you have practiced and your weak spots, so lessons can focus where it counts.
Still have a question? Message me anytime, or just book your next lesson.
